Genre wise, I have no "FAVORITE" of music. I listen to all good music. But I'm so pickyyyyy with my bands. Most of which are Japanese for some reason.
I mean I could say "rock" because that's what a lot of them are, but that's because it's such a vaaaaague genre.
I will say though that I don't listen to rap, country, or techno music. Not for any reason, just that I haven't found anything good in those genres. Or at least not good enough to make me keep listening.

But not very nice.
But on that note "labels" I think, are perfectly acceptable.
Like saying, "All goths are _________" isn't too cool, but saying "Oh you're goth 'cause _______. Do you also ________?"
I mean that's just how people group together. You may or may not fall into more than one "label" (or "stereotype") but shunning them completely is.. Well no one shuns them completely.
People who are religious bare labels, genders, age groups, jobs, hobbies, they all have labels. But no one hates on them.
People just think "label" and "stereotype" are the same thing. Buuut they're not.
*could go on but will shut up*

i love you jiggy! i freaking LOVE you man!!! XD youre AWESOME!!!
you could teach penelope a thing or two.. B)

(and that's a good song-its a little too late-..:D)

ah...my favorite kind of music...lets see.

well-in all honesty, i like all types of music. i know that sounds pansy-ish, but really--the only kind of music i dont like is heavy metal...and...when the eighties got TOO weird.

its like-ive been noticing recently that, the more i listen to a song that i intitially dont like-the more i like it.
for example, when i first heard the song 'Her name is Alice' by shinedown, i was completely turned off by the seemingly random chorus. but the more i listned to it-the more i liked the unique sound it had. it's different, and i had to get over the initial shock to like it.

it was like that with 'boheimian rhapsody' too-and you can ask leeland, that's my absolute FAVORITE rock song now. ;D

but, i hafta say-i HATE that everyone hates country because they automatically assume that all country is twangy and about getting drunk and sex and trucks.
that makes me SO incredibly mad because country ISNT all like that. i know plenty of amazing country songs by amazing country artists that people would like if they just gave it a chance.

hurr...thats my thing on music stereotypes...now...real LIFE stereotypes. B)

well-first off, let's just clear the fact that stereotypes are BASED on FACT. like it or not, that's the truth.

the thing we have to realize, though, is that stereotypes are EGXAGGERATIONS of groups of people.

the stereotype that asians are good at everyting is based on the fact that when we think of 'asia' we assume 'china'. in china the people there have different beleifs, and therefore priorities. one of the MAIN priorities is for children to be -literally- the best they can be at any given area.

so they are FORCED (or not) to excel at their given field.

the stereotype that white people are racist is so wrong i dont even have to explain it-but we all know where it came from. (unfortunetly, people cant get over it and move on.)

the stereotype that black people and mexicans are hoolagins is wrong, but looking around in my school and in the jails, i can see that they aren't doing anything to help themselves. (and im mexican man, it ticks me off.)

and...what else...

personally, i think the 'cliques' in school are interesting.
and i think its REALLY interesting to watch and see who comes out of their 'group' to be part of another.

but, just to put this out there-i HATE the stereotype of cheerleaders being mean.
because i know cheerleaders that are so incredibly nice, and my brother knows this one sweet girl who was a cheerleader and got harrassed by someone who didn't know her and just assumed she was a mean person because she was a cheerleader.

...ok. im done with that.

i would love to say some other things, but DUDE this comment is long. >.<

Haha, his face in the first panel is hilarious~ C:
Oh nooo, you missed your chance after all. :C At least I still have PenelopexCliff

My fav kind of music? I really like all music. But I think the one that tops it all is rock. Not like. hardcore metal or anything screamo. Stuff like Nickleback and Hinder.

Stereotypes? Our school is pretty much forced into stereotypes. Like the cosmetology girls are inherently stupid, but still sweet because of their naivety. The autobody boys are greasers. The welding and building boys are pretty jock-ish, and the 3D animation kids are nerdy and like videogames.

I'm one of the 3D-ers, so I like to play games, and I get top marks. Oh, and I wear glasses. Stereotypical stuff like that. C:

I think stereotypes are find... cuz most people know what they are or actually dress and act like that group to try to fit in with them. If they're fine with it, i think it's okay.

But there are racial stereotypes too, but when we were talking about it, my group pretty much agreed that the particular race stereotypes were on point. Like, how white people like to say "brunch" and asian people like rice, and black people like fried chicken. None of that's real insulting, and it's usually true.

Honestly though, I hate when those otakus try to talk japanese anime with me. I honestly can't stand anime, and they talk about it with me cuz I'm japanese! That's pretty stereotypical. "Asian? Glasses? You must like Naruto and Bleach and whee anime, kawaii neko." I like talking about Iron Man and Batman and such things :C

Umm. Long comment. Other than the really mean stereotypes, most stereotypes are true, I think. And I'm pretty cool with em~

I like lots of music, but I've been listening to lots of covers of vocaloid songs lately, like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gJ1prYeMMU&playnext_from=TL&videos=uM9hcU0nIF4 but I listen to a bunch of other stuff too. Letsee, what's on my iPod again? Gorillaz, Yuki Kajiura, Flobots, Toy-Box, Social Distortion, LAdy Gaga....yeah, my music is kinda schitzo. xD

As for stereotypes and discrimination, I could go on forever about that, but I'm gonna mention the stuff no one else has talked about, to stop from page stretching. Well, when I moved to Oregon, everyone hated me, because I was from California, and everyone knows that Californians are materialistic assholes, right? 8th grade was hell because of that. I can't even begin to count how many times I found gum in my hair. Then, later, when high school told me to GTFO because they didn't like me, and I was being stupid and wasn't doing my homework, so I got sent to an alternative school to get my GED. There were also diploma students there, and the GED students were pretty much forbidden from talking to them, because we were losers and they were actually trying to do something with their lives. The onetime that REALLY pissed me off was when they called an assembly, which everyone had to attend. The GED students had to stand in the back of the room, while everyone else got chairs to sit in. Then the principal starts talking about the diploma students graduation stuff, and a rafting trip at the end of the year. When I asked if the GED students could come too, he told me no. They dragged us out of class and made us stand in the back of the room to tell us about a fun trip that we weren't allowed to go on. I raged.

And that would be my two cents.

I listen to all types of music (even country and rap wich for some reason alot of people hate!) but I think my favorite is folk! I also love the old 80's songs, people like David Bowie and Prince. Classic rock is another one of my favorites (specifically AC/DC). And seventies disco stuff haha.
...Also I like punk and 90's rock lol. I LOVE 90'S MUSIC. So much.
Except for 90's pop. BUT 90'S ROCKKKK. And other 90's mainstream was pretty good!
But 90's pop was TERRIBLE.

Also oh snap Jigsawwwwwww.
